Red Reserve 2007

The liquid develops a collection of red frequencies that spread bathochromically to express a cosmic movement that brings the mind back to an engaging stellar experience. On the nose it is an effluvium of complex aromas, with a mature and fragrant character, that unfold like a springboard of warm and satisfying sensations. In the mouth it is broad, opulent, developing an encyclopedic reserve of warm and persuasive scents, that flow impalpably on the palate to create space for a void that brings thoughts back to the horizon of events. An archaic wine, of rare beauty, that from the future of its own reality develops awareness towards the meaning of existence.

The owners told me that the vineyard was planted around 1860 and I thought that at that age the plants were more fragile, instead they proved to be solid, stubborn and stronger than ever. They were beautiful, long and voluptuous, with composed, essential, almost minimalist foliage. They sprouted like bonsai, pushing the shoots to short distances, and their fruits were pure poetry, for the shape, the colors and the elegance with which they designed the space. The vineyard had been abandoned for some time and after a few years of difficulty I managed to bring it back to a harmony that began to express itself in 2007 when its bunches appeared abundantly, eager to tell their incredible story.
